The location is 130
Av Revolucion (the main street that goes through
town to the right of the town plaza). If you look at a map of the town,
it is half way between the town square and the Punta Mita road on Av
Revolucion--about 15 houses past Rollie's Restaurant on the same side
of the street (right side). It is a 5 min walk to town on a flat road.
It does not have an ocean view, but it has other very nice
amenities--like a a gated, private courtyard with outdoor kitchen,
pool, etc.

TO SAYULITA
Bus
The bus ride from Puerto Vallarta
to Sayulita costs approximently $20
pesos ($2 USD) and departs from most bus stops in PV starting at
Gigante (across from the Sheraton Hotel). If you are going to catch the
bus from the airport, cross over the highway using the pedestrian
bridge. Look for the name "Sayulita" written on the windshield
of the
bus. They normally arrive every ½ hour.
The 22-mile bus ride from
Puerto Vallarta to Sayulita takes
approximately 1 hour. Buses to Puerto Vallarta from Sayulita leave from
the baseball field. The last stop for city bound bus is at the Sheraton
hotel, where you can transfer to a city bus to head further downtown.
Rental Car
You may rent a car at the Puerto
Vallarta airport. This should be
reserved in advance. Cost for a week for a compact car is $150-$175.
Taxi
Taxis from the Puerto Vallarta
airport to Sayulita generally run
around $600 pesos ($60 USD) at the airport gate or $300 pesos ($30
USD) if you walk across the pedestrian bridge to the other side of the
highway.

A taxi or van from Sayulita
into Puerto Vallarta will cost between
$300-$700 pesos depending on the group size. You can catch a taxi at
the town plaza in Sayulita.
Driving Directions to Sayulita
from Puerto Vallarta
From the Puerto Vallarta international
airport, drive/bus north on hwy
MEX 200. Sayulita is about 21 miles (35kms) north of the Puerto
Vallarta airport. Upon exiting the airport take a right onto MEX 200
and an immediate left in order to be traveling north. Follow the signs
to Compestela and Tepic. After approximately twenty minutes you will
pass through the town of Bucerias. After passing through Bucerias, Mex
200 continues on as a four-lane highway for a few more miles until the
turnoff to Punta Mita. Make sure to bear to the left here and pass
through the military inspection (don't worry; the soldiers are there
for your protection.) A SOLDIER MAY MOTION FOR YOU TO STOP OR SLOW DOWN.
IF YOU ARE ASKED TO STOP, ROLL DOWN YOUR WINDOW AND TELL HIM “NO”
WHEN HE ASKES IF YOU HAVE ANY “PLANTAS” (PLANTS) OR “FRUTAS”
(FRUITS) IN THE CAR.
From the inspection point,
the highway changes to a two-lane road, and
heads up and over a small mountain in a winding and twisting manner
with MANYcurves. Watch for animals grazing along the road and slow
moving vehicles. You will pass signs for several small villages. After
passing through the village of San Ignacio, approximately 40 kms from
the airport, a small sign marks the turnoff to Sayulita. (IF THERE IS
HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION GOING ON, THE SIGN FOR SAYULITA MAY BE DOWN, SO JUST
REMEMBER TO TURN LEFT AT THE NEXT TOWN PAST ST IGNACIO.) Continue the
three kilometers into town. THE STREET WILL VEER LEFT AND YOU’LL
GO OVER A BRIDGE AS YOU ENTER THE MAIN PART OF TOWN. TWO BLOCKS PAST THE
BRIDGE YOU WILL SEE the town plaza. The plaza
will be on your left and you will NOW be on Ave Revolucion, the main street
of Sayulita. Drive past the plaza, and bear left, continuing down
Ave Revolucion. (SOUTH) After a block, you will pass Rollie's restaurant
ON YOUR RIGHT. Keep
going for the equivalent of another 2 blocks or so until you come to
#130 Ave Revolucion, Casa de las Frutas, on the right. THE FIVE-UNIT APARTMENT
BUILDING HAS A CREAMY YELLOW COLORED WALL AROUND IT. Park in one of
the spaces on the street or in front of the gate.
Driving Directions to Sayulita from Guadalajara
The route is easily marked
with plenty of public road signs to Puerto
Vallarta. Head west on the toll hwy towards Tequila. Continue for
approximately 2 hours until the turnoff to Compestela. Continue for an
hour on hwy MEX 200 down the incredibly windy/curvy road to Las Varas
and on ahead for another 45 minutes to Sayulita.
